THERE IS A MUSE IN THE REMAINS

We at Bone Ship Studios pride ourselves on being artists who strive to truly push the limits of art in everyway possible. Every artist at BSS takes their craft very seriously and strives to create a unique selection of artwork the likes of which cannot be found anywhere else but here. You will find that most of our products incorporate animal bones, skulls or parts of some kind, whether it be jewelry incorporating the bones of an animal, a frog that has been diaphonized and bone stained, or morally questionable wall decor created from the skull of a wild animal. Have we pushed the boundaries enough for you yet? In everything we do, we strive to avoid the mundane, to highlight the shocking nature of creativity taken to extremes. Don't get us wrong, we respect ALL art in every form, but we as a group hope to try and remain apart from the norm, to offer a glimps into the dark and obscure nature that art can become.

A bit of History...

Owners Nikkie & Joey have always loved all things odd and unusual. If you define something as odd, creepy, crazy, weird, or even morally questionable, Nikkie & Joey likely found fascination in it some form or another. One day while experimenting with skull cleaning and doing normal artistic hobbies around the house, they decided to put the two together and start Bone Ship Studios. All while loving every piece they were making, they felt Bone Ship Studios could expand out to some other artists who do things of the same variety. Reaching out to some local friends from over the years, and met a few new awesome artists along the way.... they made a team to what you see today.

Bone Ship Credo:

Every animal, fish and bird, bone, skeleton, skull, etc. that we obtain comes from a carefully selected set of sources that not only meet all current ethical harvesting standards and laws, but also our very stringent standards for obtaining specimens. In short, all specimens that we use have either died from natural causes or have been legally hunted and donated to us. [NO living species have been hunted or killed for any project Bone Ship Studios produces. We do not, in any way, condone the killing of any species for reasons of profit]. We at Bone Ship Studios have the utmost respect for all living creatures and will only accept their remains if our strict guidelines have proven to be met.

Come and see our oddities and creations in person! Chat with our artists, and get to know us. Find out where we will be showcasing next!
